How to increase your world view

The book store has become one of my favorite places to visit.

I didn't start off as an avid reader, but as I got older I began to understand the power and experience the many joys of reading.
Besides being a great way to escape and unwind, reading increases your knowledge, focus, and worldview.
If you are not a reader
some things you can do to increase your reading habits are:

1. Read books or anything that you enjoy-When you read books that you actually want to read, you'll find it more difficult to put it down.
2. Join reading challenges-This is an excellent way to encourage you to read more books because it's fun and interactive.
3. Create a distraction free reading environment- The less distraction the more you are able to focus and retain more information.
4. Take notes, read aloud or mouth along - Speaking aloud develops new conclusions, and increases everything from concentration, focus, and retention.
5. Sign up for Audible. Audible is a perfect way to engage in reading if you are one to have a hard time with concentrating, or if you simply enjoy listening to books instead of reading word for word.
My 2017 book list includes:
1. The Wait- By Devon Franklin
2. Giftology-By John Rulin
3.The Hollywood Commandments- By Devon Franklin
4.Black Privilege- By Charlamagne
5. Ego is the Enemy- ByRyan Holiday
6. The power of Broke- By Daymond John
7. Im Judging You- By Luvvie Ajayi
8.Find your extraordinary- By Jessica Dilullo
9. The four hour work week- By Tim Feriss
10. Will it fly- By Pat Flynn
11. Stand Out- By Dorie Clark
12.  #Girlboss- By Sophia Amoruso
13. Act like a success, think like a success- By Steve Harvey
14. Purple Cow- By Seth Godin
15. Golden- By Asa Soltan
16. The Wisdom of Sundays- ByOprah Winfrey
Some of the books I enjoyed through reading, but most of them I listened through Audible.
Reading is something that you should be doing everyday.
Reading can answer many of your thoughts, concerns, or questions.
If you are not reading often, then you should definitely make it one of your goals.
A great way to start is by setting aside at least 15 minutes a day to read.
In a separate post I will share my 2018 reading list.
As you can see above, I am picking up a different kind of book (*hint, *hint!)
Stay tuned to know why I am choosing these books.

Take Care!
