Wow, I cannot believe we are on Month 4. This year is going by so fast.
Winter has ended and the energies of spring are here. With that being said, are
you staying on track with your 2018 goals? Did you complete all that you set
out to complete during the 1st quarter?
In goal setting, it takes constant
planning and alignment for it to all work. When you take the end goal and
break it down into small attainable increments, it is easier to track and
manage.

Now that we are on 2nd quarter, the best way to stay on track is to reflect
back on what you have completed during your 1st quarter.
Do you notice any trends? Did you work better at completing your objectives on certain days?
Are you only able to complete a couple of targets at a time?
Analyze your patterns and incorporate that into your plans for the next quarter.
Readjust your plans if need be so that they are attainable.

As an event producer, I have to reflect back on my plans very often. When I
plan, I create a 6-month guide that I try my best to follow. My goals are
broken down into quarters, and then broken down further into monthly and
weekly tasks. I am a lover of planners, but what I find to be most
effective, is writing down my plans in a regular notebook.
I use my planners for memory keeping (I will share more on that in another post).
Apps are another great method of keeping track of your goals. They work for
many people; however, I only use my digital calendar that is synced to my
phone and computer.

As you scroll through the images you will see that I am in the middle
of a promotion that I am planning for this September. In order
for this, and any of my events to be successful I must maximize my time by
strategically incorporating all of my targets, and goals into increments.
By doing so I am able to create a road map of purposeful direction, which 98% of
By doing so I am able to create a road map of purposeful direction, which 98% of
the time guides me to successful completion.

As I end this post I would like to remind you that,
in order for your planning to be effective you have to understand
what works and what does not work.
Analyze your first quarter goals. What goals did you achieve? How did you achieve them?
Does your strategy need to be adjusted and/or realigned? Also, don't forget to
factor in your losses...they are just as important. Figure out how important
they are, and if needed refactor them into your plans for the 2nd quarter.

I leave you with this.
"Dreams are not meant to be longed after, dreams are meant to be lived."
Plan it! Write it! Work it! Receive it!
